Thieves Guild Armor Oblivion

So far I really loved the Theives Guild but the ending seemed very abrupt, The last thing I did was return the Skeleton Key. Is this the End? I thought that once I became leader of the Guild I would beable to give orders or something but Im still treated like a newcomer by everyone.

Re: Need help with Thieves Guild-quest Yeah, that might be right. Just wanted to know, so I don't miss anything important on the way just because I didn't know what the key was for. Our first mission for the Oblivion Thieves Guild is an important one. We need to steal some tax records from Hieronymus Lex's office as revenge for his taxation of the Imperial City Waterfront. I'll tell you how to sneak into the Imperial Watch Tower and make your way up to his bedroom and guide you to his locked desk. If you need help stealing the tax records or handling the independent. Sep 23, 2013  Thieves Guild Armor - posted in Oblivion Mod Requests: Hello there. I was looking for a mod, wich adds an armor for the Thieves Guild. Some sort of enchanted armor that boosts up some thief skills, like Sneak, Security, Mercantile, etc. Ive found one, that a guy already requested, but since the creator was banned, the mod was removed. Could someone make another one?

Are you just supposed to continue doing jobs for Vex ect.? I did actualy really enjoy the Thieves Guild in this Im just quit confussed how it ended. Anyone have any thoughts on its ending or the whole questline in general?

@Rhaknar said:you arent actually the leader yet, you need to do odd jobs, 5 in each main capital until you get a new special quest for that capital. Do 4 of those and THEN youre leader with fancy new armor and then the quest is 'done'i ended up mostly just doing numbers jobs and some burglaries, make sure that when you get the special quest for a capital (and do it), if you get jobs for that capital, just drop them and get another for another town, as its pointless to do them in the previous anymoreThat's dumb as shit that you have to grind the randomly generated quests to become the leader. It's nice and all they made infinite quests, but they're shite compared to the ones written specifically for the story.-In fact, on the topic of the storyline did anyone else think the Thieve's Guild was hugely disappointing? I loved the tits off Oblivion's Guild, as you actually did fucking thievery jobs, like stealing a motherfucking Elder Scroll. In this game the second last real storyline mission involved a fucking boss battle with Mercer Frey. All of it was so combat heavy and nothing to do with stealing anything it felt so out of place.

If I wanted to fight dudes I would have joined the Companions. Plus that fight was stupid hard as I play so stealth orientated and he knew where I was all the time, thus making my life significantly shorter. The Nocturnal quests wraps up like shit too, I didn't even realise those things she gives you were actually spells, I just spent 10 minutes looking through my inventory for items (the new moon one says 'Shadowcloak' so I looked for a damn cloak) and in my active effects like most blessings. Pretty dismal to be honest, and I was looking forward to this Guild most:(EDIT: And all this added to the fact I didn't even realise I hadn't completed the questline because it doesn't tell you to go grind the dumb random quests. @GiveUpNed@Chavtheworld said:EDIT: And all this added to the fact I didn't even realise I hadn't completed the questline because it doesn't tell you to go grind the dumb random quests. Those grinding quests are actually a lot of fun. They are challenging enough and the mini-quest for each city is pretty fun. Yeah, they were fun like a couple of times. I did each one once which was fun, but then when you have to actively pick up and then quit dozens just to get the right quests for the final mini-quest when you no longer want quests in other cities is really dumb.

I must have done the first quest on each of the two lists like 20 times or something stupid in the end, not even counting the ones I quit.

The missions that are given to you by the thieves guild obviously require high Sneak and Security abilities. In most of them you are supposed to avoid combat, as any unnecessary casualties result in gold penalties from the guild itself.Except for completing mission after mission, you also have to 'fence' a certain amount of money in order to be assigned some new special tasks.

You fence money by stealing goods and selling them to special guild member known as, well, fences. That's the only way to earn money on stolen goods in Oblivion.

See the quest 'Independent Thievery' for details.RankRequired amount of fenced money:Quest requirement:Pickpocket-May the Best Thief WinFootPad50Untaxing the PoorBandit100The Elven MaidenProwler200Ahdarji's HeirloomCat Burglar300MisdirectionShadowfoot500Taking Care of LexMaster Thief700Arrow of ExtricationGray Fox1000The Ultimate HeistFinding the Thieves GuildAfter some time spent in Cyrodiil, you'll surely notice Wanted posters in all bigger cities, pointing out the mysterious character of Gray Fox. He's presumed to be the Thieves Guild leader. You'll hear a gossip that the beggars are his eyes and ears. Question one of them (at least 2 of them are in every city), and raise his Disposition. You'll know that in order to join the Guild you are to be in the Garden of Daleroth in Imperial City Waterfront exactly at midnight. When you're there (there's a map marker for you), you'll meet Armand Christophe, together with two other guild-wannabes. HINT: Armand won't talk 'business' with you in any other time or place, each time you want to report after performing a quest you have to wait until midnight and go to Garden of Daleroth.HINT: A shorter way to find the Thieves Guild is to actually let city guard arrest you.

When you have spent some time in jail, you'll be approached by a guild's messenger who'll tell you about the meeting place. May the Best Thief WinYour first task is to race the other two candidates in finding a man named Amentius Allectus and stealing his journal.

Ask any beggar in the city about Amentius and you'll know that he lives in the Temple District. You'll find his house following the map marker. Picklock the door and steal the journal from the house - piece of cake. Armand will be satisfied with your performance and will gladly make you a guild member.

Independent ThieveryThis mission follows you throughout your whole career as a Fighters Guild cooperative. To make things short, it's all about stealing and selling what you steal. The higher your rank, the more fences you'll be allowed to contact. All of them have a very high Mercantile ability, so cope with the fact that you probably won't be pulling any good bargains on them. After each quest you are informed how much money you need to fence before the next one becomes available. The stolen goods are marked with a red hand in your inventory. You can't sell them in ordinary shops.

Where do you get them? Well, you steal, of course.

Steal from houses and pockets of every possible NPC in Cyrodiil. They are being kept in South Watch Tower (access through Temple District or Arboretum). Climb the ladder up three times, using the lockpick the third time. The money and a tax record are in a closet to the right. Take them all and go back to Christophe.

He says you can keep the money. The Elven MaidenGo to Cheydinhal. Talk to one of the beggars, paying him for some information. You'll know that the statue you are looking for is in Chapel Undercroft. Go there through the Chapel, opening the Average lock by the way. The only problem here is a guard, who shouldn't see you in any case.

Sneak past her and get the statue. Back to Waterfront. It turns out that while you were doing the job, the city guard raided the Waterfront in order to find and arrest Christophe.

Methredhel will tell you all the details once you find her. You have to plant the statue you stole in Myvryna Arano's house (leave it in a closet). Find Hieronymus, who's hanging around somewhere, and tell him that Arano was the one stealing the statue.

You'll have to persuade him a bit to make him believe. Follow him to her house. After a short scene wait for some time and Armand will appear as usual at midnight in a given place. You'll get a promotion and access to a new fence - Dar Jee in Leyawiin. Next missions will be assigned to you by S'krivva in Bravil. Adharji's HeirloomYour new Doyen will send you to Leyawiin in order to speak with Adharji.

When you're there, talk to some beggars, then go to her house. She wants you to find a thief named Amusei - remember him? He's the one you beat in a race to join the guild.

Talk to some beggars again, and you'll know that the Argonian is being held prisoner in the castle. In exchange for a lockpick, he'll tell you everything about the ring. The Countess has it.Again, question the beggars. You have to find Hildara Mothril, countess' handmaiden.

She's hanging out somewhere in the Leyawiin Castle. Talk to her, rising her disposition, and she'll tell you some useful things about Countess' habits and a secret torture chamber hidden somewhere in the castle.
