Akai Mpc Touch Driver
Different but not badI kind of knew what I was getting into before purchasing this unit. I'm a classic akai MPC guy so I was intrested in the computer aspect as well as the controller. There is a decent amount of software that needs to be downloaded and updated in order for the unit to work correctly. Once installed though it does exactly what you think it does. It's nice having the benefit A both the software and the hardware to make the beat. I especially love the ability to plug directly into the touch and record over from vinyl under the computer. I'm still getting used to it and getting to know it but if you're a classic akai MPC person, I think that you can definitely find the benefits of the set up.

Primarily this was an option to get something new when I couldn't afford the live or the MPCX. I would s ay if you have the money to get either of the latter 2, That's the direction I would go. If you're trying to start making beats or are trying to transition from computer to MPC or vice a versa, I'd say this a good option to start with. I would say that I like I'm a lot better than the MPD. The pads are very thick and responsive. The touchScreen is a nice addition.
