Hi, so I'm trying to record rap vocals on fl studios and am having some trouble. First off, because every time I try to record vocals on fl studio I have latency issues (I keep hearing my voice echo back into my headphones which messes up my timing) I record my vocals in audacity and transfer it over FL studio.

The problem with this is that even though the vocals and instrumental are aligned on audacity, it doesn't align perfectly on FL Studio and I have to align it manually. Is there anyway I can fix this and make sure the way that the vocals and instrumentals are aligned are exactly the same on FL studio?

I try to realign it perfectly but it's quite difficult and sometimes I feel as if it doesn't sound the same. Thank you!.

If you hear echoes then make sure you dont have your input mic going to two channels ( I frequently have the master Channel picking up my microphone activity as well as channel one. I prefer to use channel one to record.)Also if your headphones are listening to the master and your microphone is playing in real-time through the master channel then you will hear yourself with a little latency, or echo. If you are recording in track one be sure that the audio is not being sent out to another track with an output that is live. What I am saying is that I do not monitor my vocals while I'm recording them. My setup won't allow it. I have learned how to just deal with it. It's not optimal.

I would prefer to monitor my own vocals. But I'm currently incapable. I hope this helps. If you figure out what went wrong try to post the answer here. It might help someone else in the future.
